Imagination card

I am only making one card today due to all the cutting involved with this one. Wow! This card came straight from my imagination. The weather here is chilly and rainy, so I think I wanted a little spring time in my card. I need to stop on the pink obsession (: Stamps are from stampin up and the $ store. Paper was just in my paper stash so I am not sure of the brand.
I have been scrapbooking the past week. I am so behind on all my albums! I am working on my 3 year old's baby album, the page where we brought her home!!!! I really enjoy card making, scrapbooking, altering, and believe that all paper crafts work together. Cards are useful, scrapbooks are meaningful long-term and altered items are just pure fun! Hope you enjoy my imagination card!!!

I made these cards for the inspiration challenge this week. I used rub ons, a butterfly stamp and I also cut a few of the flowers out of the same paper, pieced it on and added glitter to those flowers. I inked the edges of this card with Whisper White to add a faded look. This card is much prettier in person, but my photo skills are improving I guess. I am now switching to decaffeinated coffee so my post today you will read is much more sober (: I also noticed that I wasn't shaking when I took my pictures...big improvement! I am so tempted to go down to the coffee shop this morning (: My DH is working from home and my two little ones are still sleeping. I wonder if it would be so wrong to have ONE cup of regular or a three shot espresso Latte Ha, Ha, Ha, okay I really want to three shot latte! I am going!

I had such a fun weekend! I attended my first shoebox swap with some wonderful new friends from splitcoast. Deelite hosted the swap in her beautiful home. She also made the best cheesecake! I declared the cheesecake its own special "station" (: I was amazed at the beautiful cards everyone brought. What a talented group of ladies! I am looking forward to next time.
My DH thinks that in place of a BIG LATTE I need to take a walk.... okay here I go. Let me know what you think of these cards .

I am CRAZY!

I am so crafting addicted that while I was attempting to fill this little three compartment carry thingy, I had to alter it to death! I think it really is cute. I am attending my first shoebox swap with some Gals from Splitcoast who live in my area. I am so very excited to meet them. I thought it would be nice to take all the supplies for my card in this little caddy. I bought it at a $ store years ago when I was a Creative Memories Consultant (7 years ago). I have two of these and the second caddy should be scared now (: My philosophy is I embellish cards and scrapbooks, why not everything else I use! My mailbox may be next...just kidding.
Not the best picture of me, but I really wanted everyone to see my new T-shirt!!!! I just love splitcoaststampers, so I was so excited to get a T-shirt in my favorite colors and favorite share site! I have two T-shirts related to stamping and scrapping now. I think I am going to stop wearing "normal clothes" altogether and switch over to the scrappy look (: Hey, if grunge is a look...I dare say Scrappy, stamppy is one TOO! Okay, I am not "always" going to wear these shirts, I do have to go to church in something dressy. I have another shirt that reads, its all fun and games until someone loses an eyelet! I had this on at the CKC in St. Louis, and I received a lot of compliments. It is also brown and pink with a little green. I am now on the lookout for a complete scrappy, stamppy wardrobe....I am being serious (:

Cows on Parade, "Glamoorus" and "Goddess of Shopping"

This is my second card for the Inspiration Challenge. I just love the cows! This card was inspired from the "Glamoorus" cow. She had a furry scarf on with a hot pink body with green. I added a diamond to her scarf (a glamoorus cow needs bling!)I also stamped princess and like no udder on the front. This one really made me think outside the box or barn (:

I made this for the Inspiration challenge on splitcoaststampers, cows on parade. I found Alphadite Goddess of Shopping and loved her! She had hot pink spots and a strand of pearls. I added a hot pink bow to her head. She also has diamonds on her front two hooves (: I used The Paper Studio paper and stampin up Rub Ons. I also used a black and white polka dot sheer ribbon at the top. The inside of the card is stamped with I would rather be shopping. You can see I picked the two cows with hot pink (: I am such a girl. This was a great challenge! I am going to look at my other animal stamps to see if I can turn them into girls too (: Let me know what you think!

I made this for the shower also. I found this candle holder at a $1 store and added romantic rub ons and some glass beads for the base. This is really pretty in person, but the picture it looks odd to me. I just love how rub ons can make inexpensive glass custom designed pieces! I have used several brands of rub ons and Stampin Ups are the prettiest and easiest to work with.

This is a prize for the wedding shower I am helping with. The ribbon is straight across, but in the picture I must have moved it. I used Timber Brown Staz On o stamp the "card themed" images with Mini Mattes stamps from Stampin Up. The ribbon is from the $1 area at Michaels. The folder is from the $1 bin at Target. I am the Queen of $1 bins and stores (: The big flower is from Bazzill Collection Festive Blossoms. I also used a big rhinestone for the circle attach and pink stickels. This is one of those projects that looks okay in a picture, but adorable in person. I made three of these and I will be making more in the future. Let me know what you think!

Wedding Dress Up Bags

I made these bags for a wedding shower I am helping with this week. I think these bags will look really neat at each seat! I cased this idea from:

I found this project to be easy and fun. If you had to make 100 or more, give yourself time to work on them. Let me know what you think.

P.S. My friend Tiffany is upset that I didn't mention her in my last post. We spent the day at the scrapbook convention and had a BLAST together. I think I have been SO focused on the mass of products that I came home with, that I failed to mention Tiffany...Sorry. She has a new blog so as soon as she puts a card up (hint, hint) I will add her to my fav. blog list. She is an amazing card artist so I know everyone will be amazed by her work. Well that's enough sucking up for one day. Hope you like these little wedding bags!

My Weekend FUN!!!!

I am so excited to announce that I did in fact get in to the scrapbook convention last Saturday! I also was able to take the two classes that I wanted, plus take part in four make and takes at vendor’s booths, plus shop till I wanted to drop!!!! We thought we would want to take time to eat, but oh no…we only took time to shove a hot dog down while in line for a class, HA! We looked liked crazed crafters for sure! I was also able to score a T-Shirt that reads, ‘It’s all fun and games until someone losses an eyelet” I had so many complements on this shirt (: I also have a splitcoaststampers T-Shirt coming in the mail soon…Life is good!
I invested in acrylic paints, unique chipboard books, unique eyelets and glimmer mist that I am so excited to try! I will be using all these amazing products and reporting on my top five favorites! I love to learn about new products and new techniques. Enjoy my picture of my stash! I am (:

The NEW family

I made this for our pastor's Grandson and his new wife. We are having a church shower for the couple (who live out of town) next week. They were married a few weeks ago. This will be our first time meeting her, so I hope to welcome her with a nice shower. She has coffee house colors in her home, so I wanted to use earthy colors. The little message on the right side is brown, but looks blue for some reason in my picture. You can't see it but on the ladies ring finger is a diamond (: Every girl loves her bling! In the left hand corner is the saying, "the best is yet to be" I really hope they like this family name frame gift. I always enjoy doing these for gifts.

BABY Time!

It is spring and I am in a baby mood! I just love this stamp set + paper and wanted to make a card with it. I have the God Is Love set as well as the Little Inspirations set from Stampin Up. I thought they would be great for VBS! I plan on making take home coloring books, bags, and anything and everything I can with these sets!
I have a big weekend planed. I am going to the CKC Scrapbook Convention! I am so excited although I haven't signed up for classes yet...I may not get in. With 4 kids it is hard to plan anything too far in advance. I love scrapbooking as much as stamping and cardmaking. I haven't found a craft I didn't enjoy to tell you the truth. I will take pictures of this convention...even if it is the outside of the building (: WISH me luck!
