Baby Powder Sweet!

This is a baby card I made just, because I Love this paper and stamp! The stamp is from the baby powder collection "Giraffe" from imaginisce. I used orange stickles to add sparkle to this cute little giraffe. I used my scallop punch from SU to make the piece behind the giraffe. I had the green flower brads, and I used them to add a little green to match the turtle. I used a stampin up Baby stamp and adorable stamp to the front. I love having cards on hand (: I also joined the splitcoast RAK group, so I may use this as a RAK (: I am in the process of joining the Blog RAK Club. Just more ways to spend time away from housework, HA!
Let me know if you like this one (:

For Peep's Sake!

I made this card with a the Chick stamp from the For Peeps Sake Collection, imaginisce. This cute little stamp was fun to color. I used glitter on the flower, buttons, and the word window punch to create the blue chirp up sentiment. This card is very cute in person. Hope you like it!

Inspiration Challenge Card (IC 129)

I made this for the Inspiration Challenge on Splitcoaststampers (IC 129). This card is very different from my personal style or something that I would come up with on my own. I think that is why I love inspiration challenges, because they push me to create outside my imagination.
This weeks challenge was based on an interior design studio ad that showcased several fabrics with various textures. One was a thick brown materials with squares, another was white with green and another was white with brown. I am still unsure of this card, because it is so very far from my personal style... I had fun creating it!

Happy Birthday Stamps!!!

I made this card using one of the stamps I got on my birthday. I used a stampin up stampin around daisy filed stamp to create the grass with flowers. I made one layer of grass with flowers and popped it out with pop ups. I cute the bunny Bea's out colored with a summer sun SU marker, and added orange stickles and crystal stickles to add sparkle. The most challenging part of this card was the cutting (: I think this stamp set is just adorable!
Yet another stamp set from my birthday! Tiffany said this reminded her of me (: I agree, I LOVE bubble baths and all things pampered! I used cotton candy stickles on her floor mat and around the scallop. I used my snow writer on the bubbles and topped them off with crystal stickles for added sparkle ( : the image was colored using stampin up markers. I can't forget to mention the corner bling to add glamor!

My Birthday Was GREAT!

This is a picture of my husband Curt and of course me on my Birthday. He took the day off work to take me to my favorite coffee shop in town, shopping, to the spa and my party at the Old Spaghetti Factory. He loves to pamper me and make me feel special (:

This is me at the Old Spaghetti factory. My wonderful husband invited all our family and my friend Tiffany to come celebrate my 33rd birthday! As you can see I am wearing my favorite color PINK (: My mom bought me an ice cream cake from Baskin Robin's with Mint Chocolate chip ice cream...It was soooo good! This is the place I always asked to go on my birthday as a little girl and the cake I would ask for as well. This is my first birthday without my dad, and everyone especially my DH made sure it was a special day. I couldn't help but think about him, but it was still a lovely birthday! I think I have the best husband in the world!

This is a card my friend Tiffany made for my birthday (: I think it is just beautiful! She also gave me THREE house Mouse Stamps! I now have relaxing bubbles (bunny in a bathtub), Wheelbarrow Ride (a bear giving another bear a ride in a wheelbarrow), and buzzy friends ( two Bunny's dressed up in Bea costumes smelling flowers). I am SO excited to now own these adorable stamps! Now I need a big set of COPICS to go along with them (:

This is an inside view of my card (: Tiffany wrote all sorts of nice things about me for my birthday (:

Happy Bug Day!

This is a card I made for my son's friend from school who is having a birthday party today. We bought gummy worms to go along with the gift, so my son and I thought this stamp set was perfect! This was a super easy and a fun card to make, just a lot of cutting and stamping (:
This is a picture of the gift. I used shipping paper as the paper, and stamped bugs all over it with my son. I love the sentiment with this set, "sending worm wishes on your bug day!" It is the perfect stamp set to use with gummy worms (:

Merci

it was hard photographing this card. It has a lot of shades of creamy caramel, chocolate chip, pumpkin pie and purely pomegranate worked in together. I used a basic sponge dauber to blend the colors. Before coloring, I stamped with Versa Mark and embossed with gold embossing powder from Ranger. The papers used are from Rusty Pickle. I really like this card in person more than my pictures, but what can I do (: It wouldn't stand up straight for me! I really love this stamp set(stampin up), but have a hard time finding uses for it. Let me know what you think!

I would love to pass this award on to other amazing Blogs. This post would be too long to list everyone that should receive this, so I will narrow it down..this is a hard one:

Carolyn King, at My Blog
I have to pass this award along to another one of my top favorite Bloggers, Carolyn King from My Blog, check her Blog out here: http://myblogbycammie.blogspot.com/
I am SO impressed by every project on Carolyn’s Blog, and I know you will be too. I had her bookmarked in my favorites "long" before I was a Blogger (: Prepare to be inspired!

Acie at The Paper Edge
Acie is one of the most versatile crafters! Check out her little elephant that she just created…so cute! You will love this Blog! http://thepaperedge.blogspot.com/

Tiffany at Tizzies Right to Stamp
Tiffany is my best friend and best stampin friend also. I forced her into stamping and signing up to be a Stampin Up demo (: She is an awesome stamper and scraper as well as an awesome friend! She threw me a care for Julie stamping party right after the passing of my father last November. I thought she was having a regular class, but oh no, it was a shower Julie with stamps party. She even made me a stamped frame with a poem just for me!
My mom told me to wear makeup and dress nice for the party, I was so offended! I had to laugh when I realized why my mom was so demanding about my appearance (: I thought she was implying I looked horrible, that’s how I felt at the time. After that party I felt so loved by all my friends…this award is for all the kindness you show Tiffany!
Check out her new Blog: http://tizzie-stampingright.blogspot.com/

Thank you again Kathleen for making my day!!!!!!!

Mother In-Law book

I made this altered book for my mother in-law for Mother's Day. Sorry the pictures are a little blurred, I was in a hurry this weekend. I used Stampin Up paper packs, stampin up brads, Karen Foster brads, Bazzil pink flowers, Cricut cut letters, and Pearl paint. This book contains mostly pictures of my children with their cousins. The book is rather chunky, so I attached two eyelets and strung ribbon to make a bow closure. My mother in-law was just thrilled with her gift (:

Embrace Life for Mom

After making my mother an altered book made with this paper, of course I was inspired to create a card! This card will be given to my mother on mother's day. It says embrace life, and I love this sentiment for my mom, because we just lost my dad 5 months ago. It is really hard for her to think about living without him after 35 years of marriage. The altered book below now contains pictures of my four children to cheer her up.I will post the altered album I made for my Mother in-law on Monday. It has a totally different feel and style.

Mother's Day "Scrap Book"

This book was made using left over chipboard from a paper pack. I cut each sheet in half to make this book. I LOVE to alter items and especially books! I used Stampin Up paper to complete this book. I distressed the front with chocolate chip ink and purely pomegranate ink. I made the MOM using my cricut expression (I love my cricut). I will add pictures of my four children before giving my mom this book on Sunday. I am planning on making my mother in law one also, using a different Stampin Up paper pack. I believe that it is very important to use matching paper packs when making an altered book, it takes the guess work out of combining papers. I used layers of paper, punches, brads and ribbon to dress this book up. Of course it is more exciting in person because it is full of detailed texture and patterns. Let me know what you think!

*I used a scallop punch to create a place for pictures or possibly a saying. The pocket on the coordinating page will hold pictures on the tags that can be pulled out and viewed. I used a metal embellishment from making memories that reads, "the touch of a child's hand."

For the last page I wanted to create a quilt effect. I used SU circle punch to create a line of circles and CM square punch (large) to create a quilted look. The tag on this page reads, "embrace life," I used this sentiment to encourage my mom that life can still be beautiful for her. We lost my dad five months ago to cancer, so I wanted to encourage and uplift my mom with this book. I know she will feel comforted by the pictures of her grandchildren.

National Scrapbooking Day inspired card

This is a card I made for the Splitcoaststampers Inspiration Challenge IC 126. The theme this week is National Scrapbooking Day, so this card was inspired from a beautiful page I found in the gallery of My Little Shoebox. Here is the link: http://www.mylittleshoebox.com/p1/gallery/gallery-detail.php?gl_id=43&pNum1=0
I really love the inspiration challenges, because they truly inspire me to be creative! This picture doesn't do this card justice. It has lots of glitter and bling that really make it sparkle. It also has hot pink and a spicy purple combination that really work well together. I really need to force myself to stay away from the pink (: I am really going to try some new colors. Let me know what you think!

Wild About You!!!!!

I made this card for the inspiration challenge 125 on splitcoaststampers. You are seeing correctly, I made a hole right in the middle of the card with a monkey hanging down. I really wanted a 3-D WILD look with this one. The theme was Safari Adventure. I used the wild about you set and my monkey set from Stampin Up to complete this challenge. wild about you is one of my all time favorite stamp sets from Stampin Up! I love color, so creating animals in all sorts of bright colors is a blast.
This is an inside picture of my card. I have vines hanging down on the inside also, glued to the back. I secured this wild monkey with a small brad from Stampin Up. I used my Giga scallop punch to create the hole. I used my word window punch and stamped the messages "Love ya bunches," and "Happy Birthday to you" I will give this to one of my nephews for their birthday this year. It is always nice to have birthday cards on hand when you have a large family! Let me know what you think!
