I have to say the pictures do not do these fun flowers justice! You can literally make these out of anything, and that is what makes them so much fun to make. The red flowers were made with leftover chipboard, run through the Sizzix using polka dots, edges were roughed up, painted with a bright red acrylic paint and a small brad was placed through to hold the layers together. In person it looks a lot like leather. The green flowers were made using the
green Kiwi pack of paper from my store. I used objects around my craft room to make the layered circles. I crinkled the layers up in my hand and sanded them with a large nail file. I used a small hole punch to make button type holes and I laced the ribbon through.
Diamond Stickles were placed around the edges to make the layers stand out.
The brown flowers were made using a dark brown and tan felt. I didn't want the circles to be perfect and I fluffed up the felt to make them fuzzy. Matching medium sized copper brads from the
350 piece embellishment set from my store were added.
These flowers are gorgeous in person! I used
Hot Mamma paper, cut them using three sizes of the
Spellbinders scalloped circle die,
pearl paint, and a painted brad for the center. I crinkled these layers up too, and it gave it a flower type texture. I used chipboard, cardstock, felt and pattern paper for my flowers. You can use acrylic, fabric, cardboard boxes you name it! These flowers are truly fun to make (: Next I am going to use my new Basic Grey 6x6 paper and layer the patterns!
