Time Well Spent

This is the friendship frame that my dear friend Tiffany made for me following the passing of my father last November. I really appreciate this and keep it in my craft room. She used the Time Well Spent set from Stampin Up.

Time well spent is one of the most beautiful stamp sets! I made this card using the time well spent stamps by Stampin UP. I also used wild wasabi paper, along with the Ginger Blossom paper. I used Stampin Up pens to color the stamped flowers and butterflies. I LOVE my Stampin Up pens!!!! I also used small rhinestone stickers to highlight my flowers. This is a much softer colored card than I usually do (: but I really like how this one turned out. Hope you like it!
P.S. Can anyone tell me how Blog candy works? I am still learning, Thanks!

Sorry, this picture is not so great...I had too much coffee when I took it!!!!!! If I am not in my craft room, I am at our local coffee shop.
Yes, I cut the flower out of the Bali Breeze paper...It was so easy! I really LOVE that flower.

Thank you to some of my FAVORITE stampers for responding to my Blog. I am having way too much fun with this and my DH thinks I have lost my mind. Ha! I reminded him that HE was the one that spray painted my peg board hot pink (:
I am a paper addict and literally own hundreds of sheets of gorgeous papers. I decided to create a few cards with the paper as my inspiration. In the two cards I am posting today, I used Stampin Up Bali Breeze. I just Love the rich colors in theses papers and of course they are all designed to go together…so easy. It was easy to coordinate my SU colors to match; I used Purely Pomegranate, Pumpkin Pie, Tempting Turquoise and chocolate chip Ink pads. So many SU stamp sets can be mixed and matched to create a very unique, but well coordinated end result. I used the Baroque Motifs set. One card is a friendship card and the other is a Thank you card. My friends tease me that I keep all my favorite cards instead of giving them away…I have to admit I have a card hording area in my craft room!!!!!! Is that so wrong?

Tart and Tangy FUN!

Here are two of the cards I made yesterday using the Tart and Tangy set from Stampin Up. I found that the best way to use these stamps is to color right on the stamp with SU markers and stamp. I wanted to use my bright green paper along with the red, so I only used the three fruits in those colors. I need to see some cards made using the orange, I just couldn't visualize it yesterday. I love using new sets for the first time! I get a real rush... I know I have a problem, Ha! It is so much fun to get together with my stampin friends and share stamps. The next best thing is to look at every-one's creations on splitcoast and Blogs. Hope you enjoy these cards!

Craft and Blog Day

Today I spent a portion of my day doing housework, thus the new housework survey (: Wow, I hate picking up toys a zillion times a day! I clean a room go to another room and the last room is already trashed. That is life with four children all under 8 years old. I love my children so much and would have them all over again if I had the choice, but wow can they stress mom out. My saving grace was my visit from my friend Tiffany at noon. She brought along some of her new SU sets for me to play with. We had so much fun in my CC that we had to make a pot of coffee. She wanted a little caffeine so I made the Starbucks Half Calf….I am still awake! The coffee and crafts were a great mix, but now my family has gone to bed and I am bright eyed!
I am happy to say that I made several fun cards that I will share with you. I was so inspired by Tiffany’s new fruit set, Tart and Tangy. I love the bright green and red color combinations! I didn’t think that I would use this set, but now it is on my must have list! I also NEED the paper that matches these stamps…so cute.
I will be posting those cards tomorrow so keep an eye out.

My New Blog

I have had so much fun putting together this blog! I have wanted to create one for sometime now, but chickened out. I always overcomplicate things!!!! I love the blogs created by other splitcoaststampers. Before I go into my craft closet I spend a little time looking at everyone’s beautiful creations. I believe that creativity is contagious, so I find myself catching a “creative bug” that helps inspire me to create also. I am still learning and adding, so if anyone has a suggestion or would like to contact me, I will be placing my email address on my page soon. My kids want to go outside, so I better go now.
