It's That Time of The Year!

Happy December! I love pulling out all my Christmas Stamps (: I am preparing for a big Christmas Crafts Workshop at my house on the 12th. We will be making some amazing projects with supplies from my store that will be perfect for gift giving. I am keeping the line up of projects under wraps, but I will share pictures after the 12th. I am so excited if you can't tell (:
This is a fun card I made using Basic Grey paper and a new Poinsettia stamp that I carry in my store. I am working on a Holiday page category on my website, but for now the Holiday items are scattered around the pages. My website is growing!
My 6 year old little boy just came in to tell me that a candy cane broke from the tree so should he eat it, LOL! It gets worse when I tell him to put it in the trash (diner is in the oven) so he comes back and informs me that on his way to the trash can he tripped, the candy cane landed in his mouth and he closed his mouth around it. He is just soooo cute that I couldn't help but laugh!!!! Candy-canes are such a temptation (:

Ladies Ink December Challenge Card

This card was made for my Ladies Ink Blog Group. The challenge was to create a card using non traditional colors. Now that I am posting this, I realize that I colored the penguins little hats and scarves in red and green. This is my BEST attempt at following the rules when completing a challenge, LOL! I have made snow layers before, but now that I am using the new White Flower Soft this technique looks real! If you have never used flower soft I would recommend you using the white for your winter cards. Of course I carry Flower Soft in my store so check it out
The Copic Club Information above will stay at the top of my Blog until the end of December. I am signing customers up right now for a variety of memberships. If you love copics or want to love copics, check out my Club details you just might find a program that works for your needs and budget.

This is what I have been up to (: A Thanksgiving Feast at DD Preschool. It was the only home cooked meal I had during Thanksgiving so it was wonderful! I am still not ready to make the big dinner without my dad. I lost him two years ago on 11/28 and he was the Turkey maker and carver. I know that he would want me to COOK THE MEAL JULIE (that's what he would say), so I am going to get my act together next year and cook. With four children my days are spent in a tailspin of activity. I wish I was more together. I have to say that I am really thankful to have a beautiful family and good health. I am also so thankful for all my friends in Blogland! I have wonderful friends all over this beautiful world and that is a blessing.

Attack of the Work Load!

This is a funny card I made that reminds me of my messy desk and all the work I need to do. Sorry my posts have been few lately, I am barely keeping up right now! This stamp always makes me chuckle (:  This stamp is a Gruffies, Attack Of the Caffeine Crash. I colored him using Copics. The background stamp is a cute set from Gina K Designs. The metal embellishment came from a 350 piece embellishment set from Scrapbookstoreatyourdoor.com

Holly Jolly House Mouse!

This card was made using one of my favorite House Mouse stamps. I used Holly Jolly rub ons on the mug. The paper is double sided and made into a nontraditional fold (not sure what it is called) (: When you open the card it folds out.  The ribbon is a holiday ribbon I bought last year after Christmas. I used pearl stickers to the side of this card.  Find the supplies in my store
I have had a CRAZY week of holiday parties and parent teacher conferences for my four children. I hope to get around to your Blogs,  but if not please forgive me.  The children are all well (at the moment, crossing fingers) so I hope to get into my normal routine. Normal as my life gets anyway. LOL!

Baby Boy Scalloped Square Card!

This is the baby boy card I made for our local SCS shoebox swap last Saturday. The theme was baby, because one of our members Michelle is having her first baby boy in December. We are really excited for her! Any-who the card shape was made with the Spellbinders scalloped square die. My inspiration idea was a baby blanket. The stamp is an old Stampin Up stamp, but I still really like it. The image was colored with Copics.

Lollypop Type Flowers

I have to say the pictures do not do these fun flowers justice! You can literally make these out of anything, and that is what makes them so much fun to make. The red flowers were made with leftover chipboard, run through the Sizzix using polka dots, edges were roughed up, painted with a bright red acrylic paint and a small brad was placed through to hold the layers together. In person it looks a lot like leather. The green flowers were made using the green Kiwi pack of paper from my store. I used objects around my craft room to make the layered circles. I crinkled the layers up in my hand and sanded them with a large nail file. I used a small hole punch to make button type holes and I laced the ribbon through. Diamond Stickles were placed around the edges to make the layers stand out.
The brown flowers were made using a dark brown and tan felt. I didn't want the circles to be perfect and I fluffed up the felt to make them fuzzy. Matching medium sized copper brads from the 350 piece embellishment set from my store were added.
These flowers are gorgeous in person! I used Hot Mamma paper, cut them using three sizes of the Spellbinders scalloped circle die, pearl paint, and a painted brad for the center. I crinkled these layers up too, and it gave it a flower type texture. I used chipboard, cardstock, felt and pattern paper for my flowers. You can use acrylic, fabric, cardboard boxes you name it! These flowers are truly fun to make (: Next I am going to use my new Basic Grey 6x6 paper and layer the patterns! Check out Scrapbook Store at Your Door's new Basic Grey 6x6 Indian Summer, Eerie and Eskimo Kisses (:

Paper Crafts Santa Card!

I made this card for our Ladies Ink challenge last month (I am really behind). I cased this idea from the latest issue of Paper Crafts Magazine. They had a template I could print out, but of course I wanted to figure it out on my own. They have a cute winter owl I want to try also! For my Santa I used the circle scallop punch in place of a regular circle punch in their card. I also added Diamond stickles to the white in Santa's outfit.
I am so sorry for the infrequent posts, I have had 4 sick children home for the past two weeks. It has put me behind in a lot of areas. I will be opening a special holiday page on my website soon (still working on it (:) I did a add a special Food Themed category that has a ton of food related products in one place! If you are into recipe cards, creating recipe albums or just love to eat you will love the products we have available. I also have Copics! If you haven't visited the store in awhile check it out and let me know what you think!

Eerie Acrylic Smash!

I had so much fun making this card!!! I used the tutorial on SCS for making an Acrylic Smash card. I used a $1 stamp set I found at Target the other day on the acrylic. I used Citrus acrylic paint on the underside and smashed it into eerie paper from Basic Grey. I used Diamond Stickles to highlight the stars and ghost images. Google eyes were added to the ghosts. The paper is all Eerie from Basic Grey found in my store. The ribbon is some that I had on hand. I popped it up with Sticky Doos. If you haven't tried this technique I encourage you to, it was a total blast (: Hope you are all having a great week! I am working hard to get caught up on challenges.

Trick or Cheese House Mouse!

This is a recipe card I made for a fun Halloween recipe card swap on SCS. I used Glitz Design Hallow circles and one of my favorite HM Halloween stamps Tick or Cheese. The recipe is a fondue recipe so the cheese costume on the mouse was perfect (: I used Glitz frosting down the side of my card. Glitz has discontinued the frosting (bling) but I still have a lot in stock. I have also just added Basic Grey eerie 6x6 paper and the eerie lace paper (so cool!!!). I have also added a lot of other cool goodies so check out the store if it's been awhile. I will be opening soon  a Food themed page (perfect for us recipe card junkies, LOL) and a Holiday Themed page so you can find your Halloween & Christmas products in a  flash.  Also, if you enjoy recipe cards check out the Recipe Card Challenge Blog! Have fun!!!!!

Happy Birthday Jonathan!

This is a card I made for my brother Jonathan. We are going out to eat for his birthday tonight. I used the new June Bug paper from Basic Grey. I love the exotic patterns and color combinations in this pack. The button is also Basic Grey (Porcelain line). It's been raining here all day so my outside picture looks yucky.
This is an inside view of my card. It holds two gift cards, but I made a tag with a birthday wish for him. I will add a coffee house card to the other side (picking it up on the way to dinner, LOL!) Sorry for the inconsistent posts lately. I have not had enough energy to keep up with my busy life. It was really too much to have the flu and surgery all together! I am regaining my strength each day so please be patient with me (: Thank you all for your kind wishes.

P.S. If you see this Michelle I have not
forgotten that I promised to send you
one of these cards (: I will!!!!!

Take A Bite out of Halloween!

I made a card today, YAY!!!! I am still really tired from my surgery,  but I am doing better. I am also slowly getting over my flu.  I am so happy to announce that my Mom is just fine also  (: She had surgery Tuesday and they did not find cancer (: I have had a really stressful two weeks, so if I haven't made it around to your Blog please forgive me.
This card was made using a cute little House Mouse stamp Trick or Cheese. I used two sizes from the Spellbinders scalloped circles to cut my paper and image circle. I used Glitz Hallow Circles double sided paper. This layout is from the latest tutorial on SCS, and I have to say it's a fun one! I hope everyone has a happy weekend!!!! I hope to be back to my semi-normal self this week (: I have a TON of new products to add to the store, including a Copics page. Yes, we can provide you with all your Copics needs now (: Very Exciting!

Daisy Head Flower Pot Card!

This is the flower pot card I made for our local SCS shoebox swap. I used American Crafts paper, Daisy Heads Spellbinders, Scalloped Square Spellbinders (to create the pot's scallop), mini round clips, and Chestnut ink for distressing the edges.
The inside sentiment and ribbon is a SU. The ribbon was a sweet gift from my SS on SCS (: I can't tell you who, because we haven't revealed yet. Hope you enjoy this card as much as I enjoyed making it. I have severe allergies right now, and I just want to go back to bed. Hope everyone has a wonderful start to their week!

Grape Dreams Mudpie

This is a card I made for fun using Grape Dreams House Mouse stamp. This is a stamp that I just added to my store. If you haven't checked out Scrapbook Store at Your Door in awhile, new stamps have been added! I used Stickles to add shine to the grapes. The lace is Fancy Pants amber Lace Wrap. The paper is from the Basic Grey Wisteria Collection.   I have a lot of neighborhood children in my house popping popcorn, so I better go make sure they don't eat me out of house and home (:

Ladies Ink Copy a Sketch Challenge and some Magic!

I made this card for my Ladies Ink copy a sketch challenge. I used Kristin's sketch for my card. The paper is Wisteria Basic Grey paper collection from my online store. The circles are Spellbinders Scalloped Circles and the thank you comes from Stampin Up and was cut with the Big Shot Sizzex.  I rarely use sketches but I need to more often, because this card came together so fast!
This is what I have been doing when I am not stamping, Blogging or running Scrapbook Store at your Door. No really, this is a picture of me visiting the St. Louis Magic House last Saturday with my children and their friends. This picture is what I have looked like most of my crazy busy summer.
My four children and their friends at the St. Louis Magic House. The two children in front are mine and the little boy in the green shirt and girl in the yellow shirt are my babies (: We had a great day!

Lemon Lips Fun!!!

This is a card I made for my SS from my Sassy Stampers group. The recipe challenge this week on my Recipe Challenge Blog was Pink Lemonade so I think this card fits in nicely with the challenge theme. In fact I used this stamp Lemon Lips in my recipe card, the recipe card that I couldn't share, because I lost my camera earlier in the week (: The background paper is Basic Grey and the flowers are Primas. I used Diamond Stickles to boarder the papers and highlight the lemon and lime. You can find all of the products used in my online store at great prices. Hope you are having a GREAT Friday!!!!!

Ladies Ink, Make a Sketch Challenge!

This is the sketch I made for my ladies Ink Blog Group Challenge. We were challenged to create a sketch and create a card. My sketch is rather simple but it works for me (: The stamp I used was a House Mouse Chocolate Heart 02 stamp. I used Distress Ink in Walnut Stain and colored the image in Copics. Scrapbook Store at Your Door will be carrying Copics soon! I am adding new products and stamps weekly so keep shopping

Funny Monday Post

I wanted to share a card with you today, but I have lost my camera. I am sure it is in a logical spot, but my house is in a bit of a mess after my busy week last week (: I thought it would only be appropriate to share this hilarious cartoon of Maxine with you today. I know many of us can relate to her (:

Ladies Ink 3-D Project Challenge

This is my 3-Project that I created for ladies Ink, a blogging group I belong to on SCS. Check out their Blogs listed on the left of my page. This is a food journal that I made for myself (: I exercise, but lately my eating habits have been slipping into an unhealthy zone! This journal features two friends drinking coffee and look NO Pastries on the table, LOL! The paper is Rusty Pickle it's a few years old. I LOVE it so I didn't want to use it. The notebook was from the Dollar store and just the right size for my daily food journaling.  I folded the large flower in half and placed a very old pearl brad in it. The Primas have a Basic Grey Pearl in the center. I used scraps of ribbon to embellish the binding. I also added diamond stickles to one of the ladies pants. I love adding a touch of glitter to regular DP to make it extra special. I used my Glue Glider Max to adhere all the paper and embellishments.
This is a back side of this nutritious journal (: Notice the slim ladies shopping, this helps me remember that if I want to enjoy shopping I must use this journal. The sentiment reads "With all my dietary restrictions, I'm left with water and lipstick". This is one of my favorite stamps and it goes well with the lipstick ready stamp from House Mouse. Speaking of House mouse I added several new HM stamps to the store so go shopping today!

Finding Friendship!

I had so much fun making this card! The image is a Gruffies, Finding Friendship. I was inspired by the frame tutorial a few weeks ago on SCS. The paper is Mommy and Me Woodsy Glitter. The sentiment is from an old SU set. The metal embellishments are from a 350 pack embellishment set that I totally LOVE! I colored this image with Copics. I am planning on creating a list of Copic colors that work beautifully with House Mouse, Gruffies and Happy Hoppers stamps. I hear so many people complain that they have trouble coloring them. The key is to not use too dark of colors so the fur shows through. I also highlight with the Copic blender pen. The blender pen is nothing like SU blender pens. It removes color so it is perfect for adding light spots and highlighting. I have been busy with my new Recipe Card Challenge Blog! Check out the link  (: I am in the process of placing a DT together and so far I have a GREAT team! Take a LOOK

Recipe Swap fun and NEW challenge Blog!

This is a 6x6 recipe card I made for a SCS swap I am in. I used a SU set I got for my birthday last year called Under The Stars. This recipe is a VERY old family recipe that has been my favorite all my life. I had this cookie paper in my stash so I thought it was perfect! I am totally addicted to recipe swaps (:
I started a NEW recipe challenges Blog that will feature weekly recipe card challenges, ideas and of course great recipes! I am looking for a few reliable friends to join in on the weekly challenges, so if you would like to participate once, weekly or monthly send me an email with a link to your Blog, along with any questions. This Blog is for those who want to have fun in their craft room as well as the kitchen. A few fun incentives from my store will be sent to DT members and Guest Designers ranging from free product gifts to great discounts throughout the year. Let me know if this is your cup of soup ):

Groovy 70's Style!

This is a card I made for my TV appearance back in June. I used a large Spellbinders scallop circle and cord to make this fun design. The paper is Basic Grey. I stamped a sentiment on the inside of this paper bag card. It reminds me of the 70's (: I have been working on several recipe swap cards this week, and I can't wait to share them as soon as I get my hands on my camera from DH car. He tells me the battery is dead, so it my be tomorrow before I can share them ): I have set up a table in our living room, because I have signed up for several recipe swaps, LOL! I have made a real mess, but so do my four children.....who will notice (:

Happy Birthday Cupcake!

This is a fun little birthday card I made using my Scalloped Circle Nestabilities. I just folded the paper like a card and cut, using the largest shape, to make this cute little shape. The paper is from Basic Grey called Cupcake and the cupcake is an older SU stamp. I used Pearl from Ranger to make the icing. I used Stickles on several of the balloons on the paper. I used Valentines Primas on the top. I just LOVE Prima flowers (: I hope everyone is having a great weekend! We have some family fun planed today so I better get off the computer (:

Beary Good Ice Cream!

Ice Cream with a buddy is just the best! I had to have this gruffies stamp, Beary Good Ice Cream!!!! I think this stamp goes perfectly with Cupcake, Basic Grey's 6x6 paper pad. I colored these beary good friends with Copics. I used Spellbinders Scalloped Oval large for the die cut. This was a simple card to make but a lot of fun (:
DH and I made it back from our 100 mile bike (not motorized) ride last weekend. I was not tired when we arrived in Herman and even walked across town to the Vintage restaurant. I did however start to have a reaction to the spray sunscreen I used that day. I developed BIG welts on my skin so I took two Benadryl before bed. DH said there was a big storm that night but I slept like a ROCK, LOL! On our way home we had to deal with 10 fallen tress on the Katy Trail, two of which we had to work our way through holding our bikes, YIKES! I have to say the Benadryl did not help my ability to feel energetic on the way home, but I did make it. We had a wonderful time! I hope we can do it again in the Fall. Our B&B was just like a storybook (:
Did everyone have a happy 4th of July?

Glitz up your 4th!!!!

I made this box in a bag for my SS filled with candy (: I used paper from Glitz Design and found it to work beautifully. The flower is a large Bazzil flower that i had on hand and the center is a SU stamp. Here is the SCS tutorial if you would like to make one.
This is a HM paper bag card I made. I colored this image with Copics and highlighted the lemon center, flower and mouses nose with Stickles. HM is soooo fun to color and I carry a large selection in my online store so take a look. The background flower is a large Bazzil I had on hand. The paper is GLitz Design. If you have never used Glitz paper you really should try it! I am in love with quality paper (: By the way I stuck a Kool Aide pink lemonade pack in the back pouch of this card.
I hope you all in the U.S. have a safe and happy 4th of July weekend!! DH and I are biking 50 miles to a B&B tomorrow and 50 miles back on the 4th. I am so excited!!!!!!
Tell me about your plans (:

A Hoot of A Time!

These cards were made for my TV segment on Great Day St. Louis June 19th. I had so much fun! Anyway, I used this adorable owl stamp, Basic Grey paper cut to a 5x5 size to fit the paper bag card size, Basic Grey buttons, scalloped circle die by Spellbinders as well as the Color Box distressing tool that I LOVE! I carry all these products (:
I used Fancy Pants ribbon, Basic Grey paper for the crinkled flowers, a Basic Grey button, Cord for the branch, and last but not least this adorable owl stamp! If you haven't visited my store in some time take a look. I have been adding new items almost continually, and I have to say the website is packed with amazingly fun products! Go Shopping!

Thank You Scrapling!

This is a Scrapling I made for my SS in my D.I.V.A.S group on SCS. This was my first Scrapling and I know not my last. I colored this image using my Copics. The inside I used a SU set as well.
This is an inside view of my Scrapling. You may notice the metal embellishment I used. It comes from a set of 350!!!! I use this set all the time and I am happy to say I am not low on metal embellishments.
I hope you are having a great weekend! DH and I took a 40 mile bike ride last night, so I am really stiff this morning (: We are planning on a 50 mile to Herman Mo in a few weeks to stay at a B&B and eat at a nice German Restaurant, and back the next morning 50 miles (:  We usually ride 20 due to time limitations, but last night was killer! I have bug bites all over my body and my DH doesn't! I am going to finish up my Blog visits and head to the gym to work this stiffness out (:
