Vacation Stamp!

Yes, I had to visit the local stamp store on my vacation. I even went out before my family was awake to take a little "stamp vacation" one morning (: This little monkey was one of my purchases (: It is called Changito Thank U from STAMPENDOUS! I used the arrows roller doodles from GLITZ Design around the border. These are so fun to play with (: I used a Stampin Up friend stamp on the bottom. I stamped my cute little monkey on vellum and cut it out using DS. I inked around the edges with WILD WASABI. It's good to be back home in my craft room!!!!! Hope you like this little card (:

Take Time to Stamp (:

This card was made today in an attempt to relax for a moment and cherish. Summer is wonderful, but a little stressful for me with all four at home. I have a lot of balls in the air right now.
I am preparing for our vacation next week, and it seems like I clean something/put something away and its undone in a flash! Wow, I just want to take a nap and avoid house work. I have a cricut class to teach tonight, so I better snap out of this slump (: Anyway, I do like how today's card turned out. I realized today that I need more stamps (: I am really addicted to new stamps!
I think I will send this card as a R.A.K.
P.S. This will be my last post for a week while we take a family vacation (: I am really excited!
I will also be announcing some big news in a few weeks that I think you all will really enjoy!!!!!
I will give you a hint... grand opening and candy (:

Wild about Friends!

Okay, this is my first attempt at taking pictures outside. It's not perfect, but I wanted to take the picture on some wood (: I used stickels on the barrel and flower to add a little sparkle. The green paper is embossed with a little texture. I used the wild about you stamp from Stampin Up. I had a really hard time coloring this! I think my sudden total dissatisfaction in my markers steams from my constant thoughts of owning Copic, LOL! I am totally obsessed with having them. I have way to many expenses right now, so I must stay away from Copics ): I made this card with scrap paper I had on my desk. I try and create something with my scraps every so often...I hate being wasteful...that's why my room is a MESS! Anyway, this cute little stamp is from Imaginence. I used stickels on the flowers. It's not my favorite card, but it's cute I guess.
Let me know what you think (:

TAG- I'M IT!!!!

I was just tagged by Kathleen at my happy place! I love these getting to know you games!
The "rules" of the game: Each player answers the questions about themselves. At the end of the post, the player then tags 5-6 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know they’ve been tagged and asking them to read your blog. Let the person who tagged you know when you’ve posted your answer.
Here it goes:
Ten years ago: I graduated college (special education degree) and got married the next week…two days after Christmas! Ten years ago was the start of the happiest chapter in my life to date Five things in today’s 'to do list':
1. Work on my new business (I’ll be announcing this soon)
2. Preparing for inventory (hint, hint)
3. Finish up the laundry (do we ever finish?)
4. Clean, never-ending with 4 kids!!!!!
5. Groom my Dog so I can save $40 and spend it on stamping (:
Snacks I enjoy: Diet soda, South Beach snacks, cheese (I enjoy other snack items more, but as you can see I can’t have them, LOL) (:
Things I would do if I was a millionaire: Buy a new wardrobe, buy Copics and every cart. for my CRICUT, buy a new van every year, take the family on a vacation to Disney every year, make some home improvements, hire a house cleaner, hire a cook, hire a live in nanny to pick up toys all day long, donate some money to favorite charities, buy a really cool historical home for stampin party sleepovers, oh and my cook would make us molten chocolate cakes!!!!!
Places I have lived: Grew up in Columbia, Illinois, moved to Rolla, Mo., Maryland Heights, Mo. back home in Columbia, Illinois and loving it!
I'm supposed to tag 5 more people:
1. Tiffany= TIZZIE
2. Erin = Create Life
3. Chat= Me, My Stamps and I
4. Maria= Stampin Inspirations by Maria
5. Lyn = stamperosity
6. Sarah = Scrampin' Mama

I will be back to post a few cards (:

July 4th Retro Page!

I created this page for my cricut class this week. I wanted to do a non-traditional 4th of July page with a vintage feel. I really like how this page came together. I used Stickels on the July 4th to add a little sparkle (: The cricut shapes came from accent essentials. I layered the cuts to coordinate with the paper. I placed a gold star brad in the J of the July. I also added 2008 on the lower left hand corner using a white pen.

Summer Time Food Page!!

I created this page for my cricut class this week. I was inspired by all the wonderful summer time foods (: Especially, watermelon and BBQ (: I LOVE this paper! I used a spoon and fork eyelet + ant from the eyelet outlet. The bottom left of the page was created for journaling. I love to create special little places for journaling. I used a ZIG glue pen to attach the seeds of the watermelon. I have so many wonderful summer time memories around backyard food with family (: I will share my 4th of July page with you this week also (:

Father's Day Family Book!

This is a Family word book from BoBunny that I made for my wonderful husband for father's day. I used a variety of paper on this one, but mostly father & camping themed paper. I used my Cricut for all the die cut letters and shapes...I love my cricut and it loves me (: that's what I tell my cricut class, LOL (:
I used a white pen to dot my numbers 2 + 2 =. I thought it would be cute to place our picture in the beginning, because let's face it I had those four 9 pound babies (: The other picture is my husband at Disney last year holding up three of our children during a parade, it was really hard to see (: This picture reminded me of a group hug (:

This is a camping themed paper (my husband loves to camp). This was on his birthday...notice the candle in his T-bone (: We are crazy people

This is a picture of our children learning to all ride their bikes, with their daddy's help (: I used an arrow made by my Cricut, inked it a little and added white lines down it like a road. The little embellishment reads, "I love my bike."

This is the very back of the book. I am sure you are noticing that I am missing a ring in the middle...I know and I will be going to buy more tomorrow (: I usually can find a pack for under a $1. The quotes are from our four children. I asked each one what they wanted to say to daddy on father's day. My four year old stinker said happy valentines day daddy! Yes, I wrote that down (: My little 3 year old said Jesus makes you something (I think she thinks the book was "created"). They are just so cute!!!! We bought a camper this week and my four year asked me how we got it home (he was home with the babysitter (:), anyway I said Tom dad and I towed it home with the mini van. He said did Dad drive while you pushed? LOL! Now he was totally serious (: I could write a book after having 4!

Sweet 16 FRIEND Book!

I made this Sweet 16 Friend book for my Best friend growing ups 16 year old daughter. She had a wonderful sweet 16 party, so I took tons of great pictures that I will be adding to her book. Her big gift was a car from her mom and dad (: It was so special to see her surprised with her 1st car! I am glad that I made her a special book, so she can remember her sweet 16 with all her friends years to come!
This chipboard book and paper is from BoBunny. I inked the edges using Pink from Stampin Up. I used various scraps of pink and brown ribbon from around my craft room. I made the front tag and 16 using my cricut expression.

The feathers are just a fun touch for the pictures. It would be really neat to add them to the book (: I am such a girl (: I used stickels to add sparkle to the last page flourishes. I LOVE how this book turned out!

Please let me know what you think!!!! I have another book I am working on also (:

Bonvoyage Page using Cricut!

This is the second project we will do in my cricut class this week. I was inspired by the paper to make it a vacation themed page. I used several shapes and frames to make interesting picture mats. The top left flower was made using the cricut pens...that is a technique the class is excited to learn. This was a super easy page to complete using the cricut machine. It was hard, however for me not to stamp (: BoBunny has a stamp that would look amazing with this page. Oh well, I am pleased with this project. I will be completing more projects this week in preparation for next weeks class. I also have several other BoBunny word books to post this week (: Fun Stuff!
Let me know what you think!!!!
Bonvoyage (:

Father's Day page for my Cricut Class!

We are making this in the Cricut class that I teach. I thought that it would be funny to take the picture of the page like it just came out of the cricut (: My cricut is good, but not that good (: I Love the tie paper by Karen Foster Designs, so I had to use that. I will be offering another "father themed" paper if someone doesn't want to use it...I realize that not every-one's father wears a tie. I really like the DAD on this page and the year under it. I had to add a coffee cup, because most father's I know love their coffee (: I will suggest other images to fit every-one's father if necessary. I really liked how the coffee cup turned out. My pictures haven't been the best lately and I am not sure why...oh well I will continue to work on them. Again this is a page without stamps, WOW...that was really hard for me! I didn't realize how dependant on stamping I am until I tried to create something without them!!!! I just love stamps (:
Let me know if you like this page!!!!

BABY Tag Book!

I am finally back after a long week of recovering from a long weekend (: I actually have been creating every day, but the projects have been very time consuming. I am teaching a few Cricut classes this month, so I will be posting those creations in the next few weeks. I am not using stamps for the Cricut classes, so this has been a stretch for me. I have gotten so deeply into stamping that I can't imagine what to make without them, LOL! I adore stamps, but I also want to stay versatile in my paper crafting. Okay, on to the descriptions...
This little tag book was made using a Cricut Expression. I used the Plantin SchoolBook font cartridge to create the perfect tags at 5" each. I used baby paper and two coordinating card stocks to create the pages. I used a clip ring to hold this together, but strong ribbon would also work well. I used the Doodlecharms shapes cartridge to create the baby face on the front of the tag book. I chalked a soft pink color around his cheeks and cut a brown baby hair to add to the top of his head. The baby face is raised with pop dots. I cut the Hugs out using the Beyond Birthday's shapes cartridge. It originally said, "hugs to you," but I cut the to you away. This allowed it to fit better on the front, and I just liked it better that way (: I used stickels in the hug to add a little sparkle. I also added a little green Bling stones. Yes, I did stamp Baby on the front also...I just couldn't help it!!!!!

Please let me know what you think!!!!

Camping for the first time!

This is a picture of me on my first camping adventure! I am not posting anything crafty today, because all my energy was spent on this trip (: It was my husbands birthday so we celebrated over the weekend; and tonight I am making a birthday dinner for him with our entire family invited! WOW, do I want to take a nap right now (: I had a lot of fun, but not a lot of sleep. I will be creating this week I promise...after a few naps (:
